Presidential Scholarship – Russian Federation Zimbabwe Bilateral Scholarships for the 2021/2022 academic year

THE DEPARTMENT OF PRESIDENTIAL AND NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT AND CABINET
The Presidential and National Scholarships Department in the cc of the President and Cabinet invites applications for the Russian Federation Zimbabwe Bilateral Scholarships for the 2021/2022 academic year. The Scholarships target able but disadvantaged talented and academically gifted student mainly from rural schools in remote districts of the country’s 10 Provinces, intending to pursue under graduate and postgraduate studies at foreign universities. These applications are open for selection for Presidential and all Bilateral Scholarships on offer in the following disciplines:

3. GENERAL SCIENCES
• Cyber Security
• Forensic Sciences
• Earth Sciences
• Geodesy and Remote Sensing
• Applied Hydrometeorology
• Chemistry
• Standardization and metrology
• Nano-Science
• Telecommunication Technology

Preference will be given to applicants who satisfy the following criteria:
1. Undergraduate applicants for Science and Technology disciplines should have either A or B in relevant ‘A’ Level Science subjects.
2. Masters degree applicants should have either First Class or Upper Second Class Degree classification in the relevant field of study and should be below 35 years of age by 31 December 2021.
3. All selected candidates shall be required to undergo a thorough Medical Check-up from reputable medical practitioners.

Interested candidates should present the following:
1. Application letter specifying the preferred undergraduate or post-graduate degree programme in the area of study of your own choice. Give at least 2 choices.
2. Motivation letter (giving the applicant’s background, justification on why one is worthy being selected and why one needs to study in Russia),
3. Selected candidates to provide a Police clearance certificate,
4. Two reference letters, each from different persons or institutions,
5. Copies of certified ‘A” Level and ‘0’ Level Certificates,
6. Copies of certified Degree Certificates and Transcripts in the case of Masters candidates,
7. Copies of certified Birth and I.D. Certificates,
8. CV, which clearly shows your District of origin as shown on Birth Certificate or National Identification Card and at least three contact phone/cell numbers,
9. Copy of bio-data page of a VALID PASSPORT or proof of an application for a passport,
10. Submitted applications that have met the deadline and above requirements are valid until 31 December 2021.

NB:
• Applications submitted through third parties will not be accepted.
• All applications should be submitted in person or by mail to the above address.
• Applicants MUST ALWAYS respond to adverts that come out in the Print and Electronic media and not those on social media.
Closing Date for submission of applications is 17 March 2021. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS ARE TO BE ENTERTAINED.
Only successful applicants will be contacted and notified of further processes required.
